The prices a bit higher than normal yet there catering to a specific group of individuals that are willing to pay the prices. The food and service are amazing and the ambiance can be perfect for a date. I would recommend making a trip if your looking for a good time. ”

“ All in all a nice place to have drinks and starters. The restaurant is classified as a steak house serving local North Texas beef and I believe they do. My only complaint is that the ribeyes are cut to thin and that is unacceptable at a fine steakhouse because the steak is almost impossible to cook correctly over a hot wood fire. The flavor of the steak and the tenderness is very good but for 42 dollars you expect a steak to be cut to 3/4 -1 minimum not 1/2". That's a lunch cut for a steak. The staff are very well trained and were very very polite to us and I have no complaints on that front. The starters and drinks are good and if I go back to Wellborn it will be for drinks and starters. For the above reasons I didn't give a 5 star. ”

“ Having not been back to Wichita Falls, TX for nearly 6-7 years Delta Hotel by Marriott really surprised me by having not only an amazing staff but a well run, priced and designed Steakhouse within its walls. Highly recommend this Steakhouse probably the best in Wichita if your wanting to treat friends family or yourself out. From the entrance you already taken in by the classy yet eye catching ambiance. Whether you wanna sit at the bar, lounge chairs, seated tables or up close to the the wood burning grill watching your prime cut meat being grilled they got it! KUDOS to my waitress JALONA, SELENA & JENNIFER for the amazing service, laughs and great recommendation (Pork chop dish) and really making me feel welcomed. EXCELLENT dishes by Sous Chef Darshon Haines Team (WYATT, D and the young lady in the back (didn't get her name) ) The food was A+ quality and really was given attention to detail. Presentation and flavors were 5-star and nicely portioned. Another must are the cocktails. They have a wide arrangement of house made cocktails or whatever your heart desires! With everything said, Wellborn Steakhouse is a gem not only in Wichita Falls but out of all the competitors in the area. Best yet they not only locally sourced their meats and other produce but the price is very very reasonable. So next time you're staying overnight or visiting And in the mood for a special steakhouse dinner, you know where to go! ”

“ Visited the Wellborn 2R Steakhouse while visiting family in Wichita Falls and it was excellent! To start we ordered the barbacoa rolls, cowboy queso and onion rings. I recommend the barbacoa rolls (a customer favorite per our server) and cowboy queso. For our main meal, my family and I shared the 50oz Tomahawk steak which was amazing. I'm not a big fan of steak but this was cooked perfectly and severed with rosemary & garlic butter which just added to the steak. I do recommend ordering this with your drinks & appetizers as it does take approximately 30-60 minutes to be prepared and to share with the table. We did order some sides with the steak which were individually portioned so if ordering for the table I recommend ordering a few. Overall, we loved our experience at the Wellborn and I look forward to eating here the next time I'm in Wichita Falls. ”

“ We just moved to Wichita Falls and decided to spoil ourselves after a grueling week of cleaning and moving into our new home. SO glad we ignored the undeserved 1-star troll reviews and picked Wellborn! Y'all... the Tomahawk steak was hands-down one of the best steaks I've ever had. Perfectly cooked and seasoned. I couldn't believe how crispy it was on the outside, yet tender and juicy inside. Simply incredible. We can only afford something like this on a rate special occasion, but it was SO worth it! We also got the Cowboy Queso appetizer, which was great and just enough to satisfy us while the steak was being cooked. Sides: we got the asparagus and green beans. The asparagus was just okay to me tbh, but those green beans... wow. Freshness I could taste. I usually like green beans slightly overcooked and soft (Texas Roadhouse style)... but man these were excellent -- not over cooked or undercooked, but fresh and seasoned so perfectly. Lastly, we finished our meal with the bread pudding with bourbon vanilla ice cream -- it was delicious! The ambiance was elegant, but still felt casual (which I liked, since I always dress casual). We came for lunch, and it felt a bit bright for fine dining but again this was lunch. The staff was warm and attentive. One of the highlights for sure was getting to meet Executive Chef Abdiel. He warmly welcomed us to Wichita Falls, and we had a great conversation about Ethnic foods. We learned of his background in Puerto Rico and that he had mastered making mofongo (a delicious mashed plantains dish from PR). We're hoping one day to see that on the menu here! We are eager to come back and try their breakfast: steak and eggs, and the chicken and waffles looks amazing, and is very reasonably priced! Wellborn is definitely going to see us again! ”
